The Holiday frenzy has come and gone. I hope each of you have many wonderful and happy memories full of Family, Friends, and MUSIC.
The Holiday Season was a busy one for your Philharmonic. The Chorus and Orchestra presented a wonderful performance of Handel’s Messiah to a SOLD-OUT house! Our annual collaboration with our friends of the Atlantic City Ballet presenting Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker also reached a record crowd and New Year’s Day at Georgian Court was a great way to start 2017!
In the coming months, we have lots in store for you too.
In March, we will bring to life a new work: Animal Tales. One of the last works of George Plimpton, this work blends opera and musical theater and is a show aimed at the entire family.
April brings us the Magic of Mozart with wonderful works from this musical magician, including the his Coronation Mass.
In May, we will be presenting a week-long celebration of the life and music of Beethoven. Highlights of the festival will include a showing of a feature film, a panel discussion on the life of this, the most iconic of classical composers, and culminates in a concert featuring the Fifth Symphony.
The best part of all of this? It all happens in YOUR back yard, played by YOUR orchestra! The Garden State Philharmonic. Close to perfect…close to home!

I am looking forward to seeing you at the concerts!
