Ending our 62nd Season on a High Note!
It has been an action packed season filled with dazzling performances, dynamic educational programming,
and dedicated musicians, volunteers, Board and staff.
From Beethoven to Bernstein, the Garden State Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra delighted audiences at home at the Jay & Linda Grunin Center for the Arts and beyond, making the Garden State Philharmonic’s debut at Carnegie Hall this past December.
In addition to their home concert, our three-tiered Youth Orchestra performed at Ocean County Mall, the Kiwanis Club, and the Elks Festival of Trees, just to name a few. Our Youth Chorus made their debut performing in March with the GSP Chorus and the Garden State Philharmonic for John Rutter’s Mass of the Children. On June 3rd, we will celebrate all our young musicians at the Youth Summer Celebration Concert. Come support these fine young musicians!
Our season may be coming to a close, but there are still plenty of events to attend coming up!
Our 62nd Season Finale concert will be on May 19th at the Jay & Linda Grunin Center for the Arts. Featured works on this concert include: Dvorak’s Symphony No. 9 “From the New World”, Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue as well as An American in Paris, and Bernstein’s Selections from West Side Story.
On Jun 14th, the GSP Chorus will present their 15th Annual Choral Pops Dinner & Gift Auction at the Days Hotel in Toms River, NJ which will feature the vocal styling’s of our very own GSP Chorus, under the direction of Steven Russell. This is the Philharmonic’s largest fundraising event with more than 100 items raffled off in past years. Support the GSP Chorus and the Philharmonic by attending, sponsoring or donating gift items!
Each of you play an important role in keeping music alive on the Jersey Shore.
Thank you for your generosity and continued support of classical music and the Garden State Philharmonic.
