Allison C. Walter is going into her third season as Executive Director for the Garden State Philharmonic. Allison has a clear passion for the arts and making music accessible to all. A Cum Laude, Dean’s List graduate of Hope College in Holland, Michigan, Allison holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Religion, with an instrumental music focus in Bassoon and an emphasis on world religions. For her dedication, Allison was recognized with membership to the Delta Omicron International Music Fraternity, a co-ed international professional music honors fraternity dedicated to promoting and supporting excellence in music and musicianship. Following her studies, Allison pursued professional interests in fashion, event planning and music by filling such roles as Orchestra Manager for the Hope Summer Repertory Theater Company and Senior Bridal Sales Consultant for the world-famous Kleinfeld Bridal. To many, her face may be recognizable from serving as on-air Talent for TLC’s Say Yes to the Dress, an American reality television series. She most recently held the position of Flagship Boutique Manager for Reem Acra, the public’s access point to the original designs of Lebanese fashion designer Reem Acra. In her role for the GSP, she uses her skills in operations, event planning and customer service to provide oversight to day-to-day business operations. Privately, she continues to perform in various ensembles on bassoon, as a church musician, and directs a vocal choir for Colts Neck Reformed Church.
