The Orchestra is comprised of professional musicians from throughout New Jersey and the Tri-State area. Each comes together under the baton of the Garden State Philharmonic Conductor to create magic. Though the size of the ensemble may vary from performance to performance based on repertoire, the integrity and artistic quality never wavers.

The Professional Orchestra performs four subscription series concerts as well as many contracted and special concerts throughout the year. The home of the Garden State Philharmonic is the Jay & Linda Grunin Center for the Arts on the campus of Ocean County College.

Celebrating 63 years on the Jersey Shore, the Garden State Philharmonic invites you to join us for an exciting season ahead!

The Garden State Philharmonic, with Music Director and Conductor, Diane Wittry, is currently holding auditions for instrumentalist to perform within the Orchestra.  Auditions are being held to fill openings in three categories:  Next Generation Musicians, Mentor Musicians, and Substitute Musicians.

Although the application will be done on-line and resumes submitted, during the first round of the process, all musical excerpts and solo audition pieces will be judged blindly.  There will be no knowledge of the identity of any of the musicians until the later rounds.

Musicians that are advanced to the second round may be asked to submit additional materials.
